Relatos Barrocos contados por un Gorrión es un proyecto artístico y editorial de Gonzalo Vargas M. que explora la persistencia del barroco como lenguaje de conocimiento, más allá de su dimensión histórica o ornamental. A través de esculturas, instalaciones, piezas sonoras y ensayos visuales, el artista propone un viaje desde la catequesis colonial hasta la sensibilidad electrónica contemporánea. El catálogo reúne el texto curatorial de Giada Lusardi y Jorge Espinosa y un ensayo del propio autor, donde la materia —bronce, cobre, cerámica, porcelana, cera y luz— se convierte en pensamiento y en constelación. Relatos Barrocos contados por un Gorrión is an artistic and editorial project by Gonzalo Vargas M. that explores the persistence of the Baroque as a language of knowledge, beyond its historical or ornamental dimension. Through sculptures, installations, sound works, and visual essays, the artist proposes a journey from colonial catechesis to contemporary electronic sensibility. The catalogue brings together curatorial texts by Giada Lusardi and Jorge Espinosa, along with an essay by the artist, in which matter—bronze, copper, ceramic, porcelain, wax, and light—becomes thought and constellation. In this universe, the sparrow appears as a mediator between the earthly and the cosmic: a witness that transforms Baroque fear into wonder and attentive listening.
